前頭骨の眼窩部は、解剖学的に重要な構造を持つ前頭骨の一部であり、以下の特徴があります (Standring et al., 2021)：

解剖学的特徴：
- 左右対称に配置され、眼窩上壁の約80％を形成する薄い骨板構造です (Moore et al., 2023)。
- 厚さは約2mm、前後径約40mm、内外径約30mmの広がりを持ちます (Drake et al., 2020)。
- 内側縁には馬蹄形の篩骨切痕（Incisura ethmoidalis）があり、篩骨篩板と縫合を形成します。
重要な解剖学的関係：
- 前頭洞の後壁を形成し、前頭洞の発達に関与します (Netter, 2023)。
- 滑車上窩（Fovea trochlearis）には、上斜筋の滑車が付着します。
- 前篩骨孔と後篩骨孔を通じて、前後の篩骨動脈と神経が通過します (Sinnatamby, 2022)。
臨床的意義：
- 眼窩吹き抜け骨折の好発部位の一つであり、外傷による視機能障害の原因となりうります (Iliff et al., 2021)。
- 前頭洞炎が波及すると、眼窩蜂窩織炎の原因となる可能性があります。
- 神経外科手術時の重要なランドマークとなります (Rhoton, 2020)。

この構造は、眼球の保護、前頭蓋窩の形成、そして脳の保護において重要な役割を果たしています。さらに、様々な手術アプローチの際の重要な解剖学的指標となります。
